Halt.
Hello,
I won’t be adding to 60DL for a while. Until Tumblr gets faster maybe, or gets a backup system. I created a RSS feed on my personal website where I will put the new photos you can subscribe to the RSS feed. You can browse the feed directly on XXIIVV if you like.
Thanks a lot for all the nice words on here ! I will keep it online as soon as tumblr stays up, as an archive of...
Contained Noise
We went to see my friend Guillaume’s installation on Sainte-Catherine street, titled Contained Noise and drifted to the jazz festival. We just got home, watching the vhs version of Aliens.

Evening Flares
My life has definitely calmed down these past couple of weeks, I can finally perceive the time that passes by (by me), as I can’t say I could before. I don’t freelance much and I can’t say I work on my things that much eighter. Not from being lazy, nor from a lack of motivation per say; but from trying really hard to be able to just do nothing for a moment without feeling the...

Brought the Tokina 12-24 on a ride
So like any photo hobbyist, the urge to get a second lens made his toll. I decided to go with a Tokina 12-24, it’s pretty much all I can afford right now, and I knew I could pull amazing pictures out of it. I went for a little stroll around downtown with the eye of someone who has never seen Montreal. I came back with 40 nice shots on 200. Here is a few of them.

白, roommate, catball
Today, my sister came over and left us a little kitten to take care of. His/her name is Shiro(白), and Shiro will be living with us from now on. It’s the cutest thing ever, I think it got lost during the rain two days ago and lost his home.
Oh! and we made a poor person very happy today, we’ve let him sell our stock of empty bottles, he must’ve made 40$. The man is always...

XC3N's Secret Birthday
Last night I played at a loft party for XC3N’s birthday. It was interesting, I rarely play old songs of mine, but last night it was “everything goes”, so I played some recent, some old and some unreleased works.

Erri Vernissage
The joint launch of the Erri Book, MachineMachine Editions and the Vambits was a success. So many people showed up, it was heartwarming to see so much talented people in the same place.
There was a few studios attending and a lot of new faces as well, we sold more than half of all the copies of Erri we had, in that single night. We will be selling the remaining copies on Drownspire, and...

The release of the Erri Book is imminent
So we have been making sure that the print file was perfect, showed it to a few friends at the Thumbs Up & Fresh Air vernissage, everyone seems very pleased with the outcome. Erri has been a very fun adventure and got us to meet interesting people and to collaborate with distant friends. The design of the book was done by one of my online friend Jo Pacal from Czech along with Vincent and...

Synth Gearporn
Last night I went to Iszoloscope’s place to make sure that my Kinetik set won’t suck too much. I got to meet the iVardensphere musicians. Scott Fox showed me how to work a modular synth. It’s actually the first time I get to see one in action. I will eventually get one someday I am sure.

Back in Montreal
So we are back in Montreal, and we are swamped. So many things on our festive plate, that we will hardly have time to be take our breaths. Home, is it now.
The last kaiten zushi, last ramen, one last look at shinjuku and we were back where we started; with memories that are but a blur of sakuras and lights. Our longer hair and nails might have been the only proof of the time that had gone by, for it feels like these moments had just peeked in one of my lucid dreams and lingered as a souvenir throughout the day.
It was a very inspiring trip once...

New friends, izakayas, kaitens zushi, the Kanda Gawa, toy stores, narrow streets, arcades, cheap sake, onigiris, the polite clerks, lawson 100円, japanese kitchenware, trains, sakuras, train-station musics, sliding windows and doors, beautiful parks, vending machines, smiling pictures everywhere, engrish signs, kabukicho saturdays, japanese beer, massaging chairs of Yodobashi, macha mochi...

We are hurrying to see the remaining places we haven’t seen yet. So we went walking in 吉祥寺(Kichijōji) and met with Motoki for he had my Macbook power supply for a few weeks. We said farewells, we are gathering things that we want to bring back home and do last minute shopping for gifts to our families.

A little bit of this and that
We went to Ueno to see the “plastic food street”, we had rollerblades in one hand and a bag in the other, in the middle of kitchenware and fragile china. So we kept the camera in the backpack, sorry for the crummy pictures haha.

'Discover Tokyo on Skates' Video
We can see our trip on the other side of the world is close to it’s end. While we are very sad to leave this place, we’re hopeful that we will find ourselves tied into evenly exciting projects back home. We teamed up with Tokyoluv to give you a mere preview of the reason that brought us here in the first place. We will be back next winter and hopefully the winter after that and the...

The best ramen in japan are served in DEVO hats
By the time we all got over our hang over it was dark, and we were hungry for the best ramen in Tokyo. Turns out the best ramen in Tokyo are just 20 minutes walk away from 高田馬場(Takadanobaba). We were visibly not the only ones craving for a devo-hat-full of noodles, so we had to queue for a few minutes, but worth the wait it was.

Husslin' Husslin'
We wasted the day under the sakuras drinking, Rina, Lea, Jess, Maku, Joe and I. The weather was great and we had the chance of meeting someone from sakura-house who invited us to share his spot under the trees. We then proceeded to eat ( and drink some more ) at one of Shinjuku’s Izakaya, 2 of Lea’s friends joined us with wine. The rest of the evening is a blur that involved...

Basically. Worked on some contracts and we’re going to eat some keiten zushi in a few minutes. We’re going to watch the last Lost and サマーウォーズ(Summer Wars). Since my wiki died, I’ve been wanting to make something to replace it so I made this today, to host my ideas for an ideal markup/prog language, it’s called the Lineage Script. @DeCendres ported Merveilles to...

Like the title suggests, today was full of sakuras, arcades and toys. We spent the day at Akiba just shopping and eating. It was great ! I got to play Twin Bee Arcade at some retro game shop and after hanging out in Ueno Park for a while. It was nice to see some sun after the 2 days of rain.

My Portable Studio in Tokyo
So the weather sucks, hence the lack of pictures. We woke up to a disgusting 4°C with rain but like any Japanese person, who was not working today, turned this freezing day into a shopping spray. I bought a better soundcard to replace my crappy M-Audio Firewire (that requires a huge power supply?!) and Jess bought the latest Pokemon game. We had spaghetti for supper and Sapporos for desert. How オタク(otaku) of me to go to an anicon. But I figured, I might as well live the entire dream of my pubescent Malice Mizer phase. And to my surprise, I did not found myself surrounded by オタクs today, but instead, tons of サラリーマン were crowding the booths.

It has been raining for the past 48 hours ! So we stayed inside for the past 2 days working, listening to music, gaming, drawing and drinking. マクさん(Tokyoluv) came back from Korea yesterday and we wasted the evening drinking and watching Tokyo Gore Police in the kitchen. Hello Yokohama
We’re getting to know Tokyo pretty well now, so we thought we would venture to another city for once. We decided to visit Yokohama (横浜)! After many train transfers we arrived at Kannai station (関内駅) and walked over to the port side of town. We were greeted by street performers, had some ice cream and rollerbladed for most of the day. Drawings, Arcades and Sake

Ride from Asakusa to Ueno
We have started to wake up later and later each day. We almost missed the arrival of the Golden Dragon summoned by the tourists prayers, for I had to convince Jess to bring her rollerblades to our little trip. Our first stop was the golden dragon parade, which was really colourful and crowded. We then proceeded to float through the streets of Asakusa to Ueno on our skates, the 上野恩賜公園(Ueno Koen)...
