It was our friend Annie’s birthday party yesterday, so we had a sushi/soba/sake feast. It was good to distance ourselves from our desks and to have some fun.

- Tamari Sauce 溜まり醤油,
- Crushed Ice 氷,
- Wasabi Powder ワサビ,
- Black Sesame.
Ever since I came back I’ve been wanting to snack on Lawson’s onigiris, but we figured we’ll do the best of what we have and tryed to make perfect polygonal onigiris.
To do so you will need ( Translated by Rinaさん - 必要なもの ):
- a decent rice cooker 炊飯器,
- 2 cups of rice 米 ２カップ,
- Rice vinegar 米酢,
- Tuna, mayo ツナ、マヨネーズ,
- A big bottle cap 筒状のカップ,
- something to press the rice into paddies 米を押すためのもの,
- sesame seeds ゴマ,
- miso みそ,
- sake 酒、わかめ and
- nori のり.
Today was a normal human day. We woke up late, jessica worked while I practiced beats on the MPC and.. we bought exciting food. The groceries here are like a toy store for adults, everything is so appealing. You wouldn’t believe the things you can find. We’re going to watch Nightmare Before Christmas in japanese and drink apple flavoured sake drinks.
